This is another absolutely gorgeous commission done by Tess on Twitter! This is my second time commissioning them, and you can see why here; they have yet again made another crown jewel in my gallery that I will cherish for a long time to come! Now, do enjoy my unnecessarily long but enjoyably in-depth description of the scene!

After a long week on her feet, Mizu earned a good weekend of well-deserved rest and relaxation. She decided to start her weekend with one of her favorite activities-- onsen bathing! It's no wonder she loves it so much, with her affinity for warmth and cleanliness.
She visits Mizu's onsen, which despite its name, is not owned by her, but rather by another Mizutsune that has the same name as her. It's a place talked about with very high regard, as it has a very good reputation helped by its owner being quite charismatic in his own right. Mizu enjoys giving him a little tease when they meet, for they both have the same name and could probably be easily mistaken for each other if they weren't opposite sexes.
She requests a private room for one; she wants a personalized, pleasing experience without others being around. She does use the public bath sometimes, but she does tend to get a bit embarrassed when seen nude, so being alone would give the most relaxing results. After all, she is very rarely seen without clothes, and the bath is the only public place where she doesn't wear any.
After checking in, she waits for a while before stepping in to the room, and it is personalized beyond belief! It is lit by candles, bathing the room in soft light, and cherry blossoms, her favorite flower, float in the water. There is even a pitcher of water for her to drink while she bathes!
So she takes off her mask and then her yukata and steps in. The bath is like no other; her tired feet are soothed by the natural heat of the water, and the light and petals made a very aesthetically pleasing experience as she stepped in and sat down, letting the heat travel through her body. Afterward, she relaxed in the water, enjoying the serenity of the scene around her as the petals drift and cluster around her. It is almost like a dream, but it is not, it is the magic of the onsen! After soaking in for a while, she grabs the hand towel and gets to bathing.
She comes out of the door fully refreshed and relaxed, and still a little moist, ready to enjoy the rest of her weekend!... but a little sad she couldn't enjoy the bath even longer. Until next time, perhaps! 🫧
