I started this piece on my birthday last month and have been picking at it between commissions on my furry -- and now it's finally done! I am honestly satisfied with how this came out! This piece in particular was inspired by the classic Jim Henson film Labyrinth and Aurelio Voltaire's latest album The Black Labyrinth, which was inspired by the film! My character's dress draws heavy inspiration from the gorgeous gown worn by Sarah during the Masquerade Dream sequence in the film, a scene that remains one of my personal favorites! Additionally, I decided to also make a little nod to the Goblin King himself with the pendant Aleit is wearing.
I would have to say that the most difficult part of this piece was figuring out how to make the fabric look iridescent and yet, it also turned out to be the most fun part!
