Biography: Makoto is one of many 1/2 mermaids born to Junichiro & Palutena, being born as part of their 4th line of human/mermaid hybrids & coming a day just before Sommer was born. Makoto, like many of her siblings, had always taken a liking to her father's tales & was ever present whenever he had one to share; which was just about always commonplace. In time, they inspired Makoto to take up arms & be as great a hero as her father is, and whereas some went the way of the Myrmidon, Makoto chose to study in the way of the Hoshidan Samurai. And so Makoto picked up a katana & was instructed day by day in how to properly utilize the sword in question, and Makoto was proving to be a quick study just like many of her siblings tend to be. In time, Makoto became a very skilled Samurai & was prepared to travel with her father where she, along with her other Fire Emblem themed sisters (Sans Eurydice at first) traveled to the continent of Gaia where she wound up enlisting into the Gaia Army. As part of the army, Makoto was one of its elite soldiers as she was among one of the strongest among them all. However, one day, the Supreme Forces attacked Gaia Castle without warning & Makoto's unit was among those that were wiped out with her being the only survivor of said until; which can be said in the same light for her other sisters & their units. Though she fought back bravely, she was forced in the end to flee with her father & the rest of her siblings as the numbers became far too numerous for everyone to handle. Despite the incident, Makoto pledged her to the newly proposed Gaia Alliance, swearing to take back Gaia no matter who the enemy is, and even then, she is always ready to lend a hand when asked to do so. As with anyone raised in Juni's family, Makoto is a very friendly & kind individual who is easy to make friends with. However, she is also on the quiet side a bit, so don't be surprised if she hardly speaks up. Makoto is a fan of Origami & loves to spend her time making lots of them. If there's one thing she truly despises, it's poachers, and she is never hesitant to cut such people down without a second thought. Makes the cutest origami cranes.
Abilities: Being 1/2 Mermaid, Makoto is capable of taking on her mermaid form at any given point she enters the water. However, like many of her siblings, she prefers the water to be either fresh, or seawater before she thinks about transforming. In the water, Makoto enjoys a good increase to her avoid/dodge, making her a hard target to strike, and her movement doubles as well. Makoto starts the party off as a Samurai, meaning her only weapons are katanas & swords. Obviously, she shines in the Speed & Skill departments, but her Strength & Defense have good enough growth rates to where she can compete with some of her other physical orientated sisters on a small degree. However, against Misaki, she stands no chance. Makoto also has a good luck growth rate. Magic & Resistance however, are a different story. While Makoto has good resistance in both starting and growth; being able to tank magic damage almost as good as a Pegasus Knight, her magic needs some serious work in boosting. And even then, her resistance will be needing help in boosts as well. As Makoto trained to be a Hoshidan Samurai, she is able to class change into the Master of Arms class instead of an Assassin, or she can become a Swordmaster instead. Her starting weapons & skills are as follows.
Iron Katana: Grants Speed +1 and Defense & Resistance -1. A simple Katana made of iron. Affordable & easy to wield. Has 40 uses.
Raider Katana: Grants Speed +1 and Defense & Resistance -1. Good for follow up attacks. With weapon advantage, strips foe's armor. Has 45 uses.
Slim Sword: A lightweight sword favored by female fighters that's easy to use. It has an increased chance to land a critical hit. Has 35 uses.
Vital Spirit: Makoto's personal skill. In battle, Makoto is filled with a very strong will to fight no matter what, and this prevents her from being afflicted with the sleep ailment completely. Thankfully this does not prevent her from actually sleeping at night.
Duelist's Blow: Grants +30 avoid when the unit initiates combat.
