I came home and saw *this* in front of our apartment door the other day. 🛍️
Looking at it just sitting there - it feels like Christmas morning again...... and our front door is our delivery-based Christmas tree. ☺
Anyways.... I'm becoming a huge fan of "grocery delivery" lately....... as it saves us so much time, work, and aggravation (as opposed to the traditional way to shop).
Delivery however does have it pitfalls sometimes though...... (as opposed to shopping "in person" in the store); where things aren't always available online - (as they might run out of stock of things)..... or - the delivery slots may be filled up for the day..... or, items are wrong or missing in the bags.
And so, it's kind of a trade off I think....... where the convenience factor probably needs to outweight these issues to make it worth it or not for people.
I must say though...... it was a *very nice reprieve* in any case..... from having to lug forty-plus pounds of grocery products with me into crowded trains and busses - just to get home with the stuff afterwards.
Trying to carry any of this (like you see here) onto any type of MUNI - would've been a nightmare.
So, the shopping was easier this way...... but, they were also *out* of the hamburgers and cheesecake that I wanted to order for over the weekend; and so....... I had to make a few substitutions.
Had I gone into the store instead, I could've gotten them both probably. 🛍️ So...... grocery shopping can be imperfect either way sometimes. ☺
