Hours ed and Scrooge ended up forgetting about this nightmare vision, thinking having gotten a hallucination or a daydream. Alone by his fireplace and in his pajamas, he was taking care a little of his things before going to bed. That is when a familiar, icy voice rang out. "Ebenezer Scrooge!" Panicked, Scrooge turned around and realized with horror that in this room stood Marley! Marley, transparent, greenish, chained up from all sides, some chains linked to steel chests, floating. A ghost. Terrified, Scrooge prayed and and begged him to leave him alone, but Marley had come to warn him. This night, he would be visittef by 3 ghosts, the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet To Come. This would be his chance for redemption, and if he had no epiphany, he would end up like him : a ghost wandering for eternity dragging chains representing his sins. He took off his scarf, letting his dislocated jaw hang and terrorizing even more his former associate, and as quickly as he appeared he vanished, leaving the old man shaking and distraught
