One of my local game shops had the new Pokemon game on discount for Black Friday, so I grabbed a copy haha
Tbh, I've sorta dipped out on a lot of the recent Pokemon games just due to the monotony and insane easiness. But I really enjoyed Legends Arceus a lot and hearing that this one played similar, I thought I'd give it a shot. So performance issues aside, I'm still having a lot of fun with this one xD And now these two are my new favs.
Yes I picked the duck as my starter lol. Called him "Slyvando" (he reminded me so much of that beautiful peacock man from Dragon Quest xD) I was originally gonna go for Sprigatito but I didn't like what its final evo looked like. However this duck was too fab to up haha.
If Quaquaval wasn't my main water pokemon though, I'd probably pick Finizen/Palafin. Its just so adorable and I love its design so much 😭 (yes I know it evolves into All-might lmao but still lol) I've wanted a dolphin pokemon since I was a child so this is sort of childhood dream come true haha.
But yeah, thought these two would work nicely together ^^

I picked Quaxly as my starter, too, and I am so proud of the Sylvanduck he grew up to be! Also, Finizen is like, 100% what I imagined a dolphin Pokemon would be. It's so on-point. Wild to finally get one after so long...with a hilarious evolution to boot.
