A small traditional mixed-media piece I started a while ago to test a toned paper I bought.
I was playing Ghost of Tsushima at the time I started to work on this and got really inspired by the foxes that lead you to little shrines, I found it to be such a charming game mechanic. :>
I first made a black ink and white acrylic base for this, but I'm not sure how much it actually helped with laying down values. I painted the colors on top of this black-and-white piece using watercolors and then added some of the details with colored pencils.
