In past challenges, there were also scenes related to water, but this year there are a lot of them ... History allows me to draw quite a lot of them.

It looks odd in the thumbnail images, but it works better when viewing the full-size pictures. I can see that you use it to create separation from the ink-and-wash backgrounds.

This is true! To be honest, I prepared quite poorly for Drawtober-2021: most of the ink stages were done in parallel with sketching, so in the end, most of the works had low contrast and rather weak tone, which was eventually compensated by white outlines.
In Drawtober-2022 I tried to fix it, but I'll publish new illustrations closer to December, I think)
