I'm actually kinda gobsmacked this came outta my hands; it's entirely beyond my comfort zone! But I felt like, as an Irish person, the prompt of "bog" was too important to not give it my all. Did you know that it takes 3 years for your footprint to disappear on a bog? (well, on Sphagnum moss. I've learned so much about bogs this week just prepping for this hahah!)
In reality, I loathe bogs. I mean, I understand they're important from an ecological standpoint, but I will never get the noise - the squelch of a shoe claimed by the bog - out of my head; it's happened to me far too many times. The memories of bog are the memories of saturated toes and socks that'll never be the same again.
