In other pics of him, he's in the US Army, this Mongolian wolf, as I have seen his badge and heard that he was in Ft. Jackson: https://home.army.mil/jackson/index.php . So it will explain that he'd be wearing boots, and he would grandfather his current RL status into what his sona is doing. In his page, there are some arts of him in active military duty. We may not know how he got here or if he is a 
Bayfurs, but it is nice to see that the military had a heart to let him take a leave to attend FC. There is no shade of a doubt that he would be happy to have some vacation from rigorous training and shouting from his superiors.
And no, if you do look at those patches, the one that says "Alpha Industries" is not made up. (Though it would be fitting to say that Kodiak Wulfe an alpha wolf!) It is a real clothing company for all ages: https://www.alphaindustries.com
