I had this urge to draw a bunch of sketches of Fry and Bender all of a sudden, so here it is! Since I’ve been very immersed with everything furry since the last time I binged Futurama, it felt like I might as well draw them as different animal species! (To Bender’s dismay) Fry as a dog just was an instant fit for me to draw for multiple reasons, (yes, he’s brining up them as fish in reference to the episode Naturama)and I originally tried drawing Bender as a cat, but it didn’t turn out right, so I decided I would draw him as a bird. Not a parrot mind you, since Sarbo my parrot OC is a lot like him so that would be way too obvious of me, so I ended up drawing him as a bird that has a lot in common with the parrot, but would also suit Bender, which ended up being a crow! That might also have happened because I’ve been witnessing a lot of crows lately doing their thing! They’re really neat birds! Also, using Bender’s metallic colors really does just make him look like a strange lightly colored crow! (Maybe I should’ve made him a robotic crow) XD I wonder if I should do more of these…
Fun fact, I’ve gotten to meet both Billy West (Voice of Fry, Professor Farnsworth, Zoidberg etc,) and John DiMaggio (Voice of Bender) and I have a great amount of respect for them! I really wish one day we will meet again, I’d have so much to talk about with them! Also, I am crossing my fingers hard that those new episodes of Futurama coming to Hulu in 2023 don’t suck. I’m very cautiously upbeat. PLEASE DON’T SUCK!!!
