So everybody draws carousel horses or characters turned into carousel horses and that's great. Occasionally, they'll draw a rocking horse character/tf. You know what you never see? Wonder horses, which you maybe if you were a kid in the 60s or 70s. They had the rocking horse body type, mounted on springs to a metal frame, so you could swing it front and back and a little bit side to side before it tipped over and your parents yelled at you for making a racket. Anyway I wanted to do a wonder horse-style character and went with Eugene the Jeep since he's a good figure to draw in new poses. And, well, I realized after setting this up I picked the wrong angle to actually see the important element, the springs between the figure and the frame. But by then it was too late to go back and redraw it correctly, or to figure some way of rejiggering the frames so it was more realistic and, like, showed where the springs would go better. I may have to revisit this theme.

Someone in the neighborhood had one, when I was a kid. The rides were fair enough but you have to be wary because there was always a bolt stuck out on the frame somewhere so it would scrape your hand when you got on. I don't know why. Toys were just like that back then.
