Subject report: To take this picture, Mak needed to be held in place by a low-gravity emitter; he cannot stand in Earth gravity for more than a few seconds without buckling under his weight and falling over. Mak’s hearts are under a lot stress and he sometimes requires an oxygen tube due to difficulty breathing.
Experiment conclusion: After considerable weight gain, the experiment has ended. It is evident that Sangheili gain weight the same way humans do, and the effects of weight gain are very similar between species. It was obvious after a couple months, but Mak seemed to really enjoy the weight gain, so we continued. Now Mak is at the stage where he wants to live the rest of his life at this weight, or to slowly gain more weight at his own pace. We will now pay carers to care and cater for him for as long as possible, as he’s too big to do many things by himself.
