“As broad as the great valleys, a weight greater than all the stone of the mountains, with a length that rivals even the never-ending rivers. All creatures flee before it, their cries of terror and astonishment drowned out by the deafening silence miles above the earth where a lone, scaled head sways. This great beast trudges onward—endlessly, silently—it’s heaving belly reducing the varied, decorated land into a stretching, flat ravine.
The great snake cares not for what is crushed beneath it’s mighty girth, for the beast is unaware of the bustling life that lives beneath it. So great is the size of the rippling coils that all other creatures are as nothing in comparison.
From the even the tallest of perches, jealous pythons and envious cobras gaze at The Behemoth with jaws hung down in disbelief, each serpent longing to possess the endless length and bursting girth before them. For in the society of snakes, the longest serpents are queens and the most gorged snakes are kings, and this Behemoth scorned them all into insignificance.
The great serpent stretched his snout even higher into the clouds, so far that it felt he could kiss the sun. Oh to be so expansive! He could feel the miles and miles of his heavy mass slide effortless through deserts, rainforests, and lakes, all in the same mesmerizing instant. He was a titan, and all the earth was his playing ground.”
