Description: What're Taverns? Taverns are large living spaces where adventurers (magical and non-magical) live so that they do Quests Requests (calling for help in either errands, protection, rescues, slaying of monsters etc) distributed to them from far off places so that they pay be paid, using said payment for rent, equipment or to build up reputation so that they may raise a rank! Tavern Tanks indicate how large the tavern is and how difficult or rewarding their missions are. There are 4 ranks, 3 of which are all over the planet, 1 though, governs the rest and is impossible to , for it is one of a kind and necessary to keep all others in order!
Bronze Rank: The Lowest Rank of Tavern, typically located in small communities, towns, or even out somewhere in the wilderness along a dirt path. They resemble a sort've tiny apartment with one kitchen on the first floor, maybe an entertainment room and can house about 10 adventurers. Their Quest Requests tend to be a little on the easy side and offer little reward.
Silver Rank: The 3rd Highest Rank of Tavern, they tend to be located on the outposts of towns or moderately sized cities. They're sized like actual apartments and have a few more floors, including maybe an indoor cafe or pool. They can house 30 adventurers and provide proper living accommodations so they feel less like roommates and more like neighbors. Quests for them offer more and are a little dangerous, they sometimes get attacked or raided for resources by criminals or bandits.
Gold Rank: The 2nd Highest Ranked Tavern and the most well regarded. They're almost always located in big cities, resembling skyscrapers piercing into the heavens. They can house 50 adventurers and their floors are almost always nearing the 60's, many dedicated to catering, surveillance of the city, and entertainment. Their Quests are very dangerous and offer the best rewards out of any Rank, they can create a forcefield around the tavern and parts of the surrounding city for monumental damage from either weather or attacks from some powerful villain.
Platinum Rank (The Equinox): The Highest Rank of Tavern and the one that oversees all others. From up in the sky a floating palace monitors the planet, takes in Quests Requests and distributes them around the world to all other taverns. Alongside dozens of creatures, living here here are the Equinox Heads, an elite team of powerful and mysterious individuals who use their status and incredible power to prevent disasters that they feel Tavern has the resources to handle. Each one of them housing abilities that aide in their affairs in incredible ways. They are directly in charge of the establishing, promotion and closure of taverns below, no one who lives on the earth is allowed to visit it willy nilly aside from special occasions, and they govern international laws in an attempt to keep the planet relatively stable and at peace.
Tavernkeeper: A Tavernkeeper is the head person who runs a tavern, keeping in charge of finances, the morality of their "tenants", how their tavern looks the quality of their living arrangements and who is keeping up on their "rent", acting as a
mix of landlords and innkeeper, kind've. They're established when a tavern is built, usually being the person who requested a tavern be built in their general area, or at least a trusted heir. Tavernkeepers need to be symbols of power, being intimidating, competent and powerful to either be seen on equal footing or, above their Adventurers, if this is not the case, it is usually a giant oversight on the Equinox's part.
Tavernstaff: Every Tavern needs someone to help out every now and again, either for cleaning, catering or the general moral or fitness of their Adventurers. Tavernstaff can occasionally be hired by the Equinox but are usually hired by The Tavernkeeper themselves (sometimes being an acquaintance or friend), getting a share of pay from what it is brought in
every month. They can increase with numbers per rank (Bronze typically 1 and Gold can have 15 or 20) and range from coaches to maids, caterers, entertainers and so on. Them having magic and or good prowess in stats but choosing not to classify themselves as adventurers can always be a thing, not everyone with magic is a born hero.
Thought i'd provide some lore on Taverns, hope it's interesting at least -v- worldbuilding is good building
