Usually am not a huge fan of scuba gear - where's the fun if you don't have to hold your breath? :P - however for some reason on cetaceans and other aquatic creatures it becomes surprisingly interesting again xP
P.s. Note the second mouthpiece - this scuba gear is meant for a potential rider as well! You will have to share the air with your dolphin partner however~

hmm :3 i very much like this concept, often wondered how a dolphy scuba system would work, because, apparently, real ones can only breathe through their blowhole

For the very most part yes (it has happened that due to injury of the blowhole, at least one know dolphin is breathing through their 'beak'). Furthermore they have a strong instinct to hold it closed and it does not open when unconscious on its own either. Such a scuba gear would have to either by the muscle that seals the blowhole, or be in such a way that the 'phin feels like breathing at the surface~
