Flags! I made flags! These are flags for the fictitious countries in my alternate history novel Annunah Rising (in your favorite bookshop no later than 2040). This one is for the Kulin Federation, the major power on the mostly-uncolonized continent of Australia.
In our world, "Kulin" refers to a loose linguistic and quasi-confederal cultural structure in the Australian state of Victoria, in the southeast of the continent. Many indigenous Australians from this region refer to themselves as Koori or Koories, though my understanding is that Kulin is acceptable for referring to a particular group within the Koori community. In my alternate history, the Koories or Kulin gradually grow in power and subsume other indigenous cultures due to their success in repelling European (and later Annunan) settlement of the southeast Australian coast, and by the 1990s they are the dominant power on the continent, comprising about a third of Australia's land area and fully half its economic output.
The colors and stripes on this flag aren't really based on anything in particular, but the hand is from a Kulin art installation in the city of Nunawading, which can be seen in a photo slideshow at this site: https://wurundjeriwalkhistory.wordp......com/pre-1930/
