Hohoho! Merry Christmas! What do you means it's already 2022?! Yeah, so despite my very best efforts I wasn't able to get this picture finished before the end of the year... I tried so hard too, even skipped out for an hour on my own New Years Eve party to try and get it done before the year ticked over. Never mind. You guys said you didn't mind a late Christmas picture, so here's you very late picture ^^'
This project was anything but a smooth ride - from the very beginning I had real trouble getting my ideas together and coming up with inspiration. I flip flopped for a few hours until at last I landed on an idea I loved, and as soon as I had Nell blocked out in that pose, I knew I had something great! But then I had to put together a new Christmas outfit... and that took another couple of hours to sketch out something I liked! And then I had a mental block on the best way to shade it, and the colour balancing, and blah blah blah! In short, getting this picture completed felt like an uphill battle, but goddamn was it worth it! I've drawn many pictures of Nell at this point, and this might be my favourite. I really hope you guys like her too.
