Sorry for the lack of content lately, ever since my dog Kaiya ed away I haven't been doing to well and been stuck in a terrible art block unable to draw much of anything. hopefully the new year will be better.
Ryoko the ultimate anime waifu of the 90's
Finally managed to finish this drawing, was playing around with a retro vhs filter. I had the biggest crush on Ryoko ever as a kid, technically my first love lol. I sort of did my own thing and designed my own outfit for her, I love how the space dragon design on her thigh turned out and really love the retro VHS effect, turned out really pretty.
I wasn't satisfied with the space background I made cause it looked really flat and I didn't feel like adding clouds cause I couldn't how to do them. I played around with a lot of things and went with this tear melty effect like she had sliced open a shield or space hull with her energy sword. I think it turned out pretty neat and might look really epic as a t-shirt or poster print.
