Before Thanksgiving, I had occasion to dine at the Burger and Company outside Nashville. Their smoked Gouda burger is to die for, so after getting home I decided to try my hand at making it.
So here we go.
Burger: quarter-pound ground chuck patty, with a slice of Gouda folded into quarters and tucked inside the meat.
Pesto Mayo: 1 tsp basil pesto and 1 tsp mayo, mixed. Easy peasy.
Onions: the burger place uses sauteed onions; I used red onion jam that I made back in 2019.
Bun: they use brioche; I used storebought onion rolls.
Verdict: DELICIOUS!

There's an associated link to my red onion jam recipe there, as well, also, too.
