The weather was less than pleasant, but Àzuen need to get back to his pack. How far had he chased? He did not want to give up the chase for prey, contrary to what his pack mates had decided. He had not heeded his superiors orders. He wanted to prove himself as a hunter, so gave chase till he could no longer run. Taking a break from the trill of the hunt he had realized how far he was from his packs territory. He was in unfamiliar lands, with a storm gathering quickly. He found his trail, and began the long track back to his packs territory; as the first drops of rain began to fall. The winds began to change, and the slow rhythmic rain became a gusto of droplets pelting his already soaked fur. The scent trail began to grow faint, as the rain washed away the scent. He's instincts told him he was close to packs territory, but the continuous heavy rain had optructed his visibility making it difficult to see. He had stopped to get a sip of water by a river. The had not noticed the earth beneath his paws had become unstable. A combination of the heavy rains, and rapidly increasing flow of the river. He lowered his head to drink, as his front paws glided down into the river. The river began drang him down the stream, with the rivers flow beginning to gain momentum. He tried his best to swim to shore. His paws frantically searching for some sort of paw hold to cling for dear life. His paw found only a water filled abyss. His body reached the rapids. The river rapids tossing, and dragged his body onto the rough rocks. He became disoriented by the high speed movement. He grew exhausted, as the river sapped his strength with each clashing of stone. He had given up fighting the river, and let the river decided his fate. His body was expelled from the rapids onto a much calmer stream. His body now resting on top of a steady branch. A near by crow, not bothered by the storm sudden change behavior flew freely amist the forest. It spotted a wolf's body emerge from the river floating on top a branch. It began its decent onto the wolf's branch to investigate why a it lay there. It neared the branch, and realized the wolf had been claimed by natures embrace. It gave a couple of caws to alert his fellow brethren of the meal, before setteling on the branch to begin to feast.
