The strange cat woman grinned at him, her tentacles fanning out wider, revealing her selection of goods.
"Hey, I wasn't born this way. This whole getup? It's all home made. I think that speaks for the quality of my product."
He looked her over again, then back to the spell scrolls. He really needed some emergency magic, but he'd been burned by scrolls of dubious quality before. But the woman also made a good point.
"What do you charge?"
"Three hundred gold coin a scroll. Two hundred if you buy at least four."
If he'd been eating anything, he'd have choked on it.
"I can get them cheaper back at the tower!"
She grinned, revealing all too many teeth. "Yeah, but the tower is far from here. You're paying for quality, AND convenience."
