I'll give it a shot :3 They encounter a friend of one of them, said friend says something bad an it kinda ruins the date. Or they come across the girl Abe was with before, and stuff happens.

She gets even more jealous, insults Basil, and Abe has to cheer him up, probably taking him to one of the rides, likely the ferris wheel, which is meaningful for Basil, since Abe didn't wanted to go there in the first place. ^^
