Chapter 2: Kaa's Kitten
Simba snorted a tad in his snoring slumber but otherwise merely shifted his body on the study branch. His sleep was peaceful for what it was worth after the day that turned his life upside down, exhaustion doing most of the legwork. If he had only heard Nala choking out an "URK!" Whatever dream he'd have wouldn't become a nightmare, second to what his best friend was currently being put through. Yet he remained mostly undisturbed, dreaming of a better day.
Nala's attempt to call out for Simba was disturbed by Kaa's tail looping sharply around her neck and giving a tug. The choking jolt cut off her breathing ever so slightly and derailed her resisting train of thought, her mouth agape while her eyes nearly popped out of her skull. Nala tried to regain focus but all of that was washed away like the ocean tides. This allowed the rock python's colorful rings to wash over her stubbornness... and make her lips begin to curl up into a smile.
"And where may Sssssimba be?" Kaa asked in mock curiosity, giving Nala the push she needs. "Sssssurely, your beloved hero would've russsshed to your resssscue... yet he ssssleepsssss peacccccefully without giving you a ssssecond thought." The smile across the lioness cub's face began to stretch across her cheeks in the most goofiest of way. "You hear him ssssnore." It was the final nail in the coffin for any of the rock python's victims. "That sssspeakssss for itself."
Nala could hear Simba's snoring, his indifference to any potential danger that she could've been in. The very same prince who defended her from hyenas. After all, why would he help somebody he was ditching? Yet... Nala felt fine with that. More than fine now that Kaa was here to protect her, to keep her in his coils where he's never leave her. They were tight yet so protective. She felt more blissful than she'd ever had in her life as a sillier smile stretched across her cheeks.
"I'll keep you ssssafe insssside of me where Sssssimba shall never hurt you again," Kaa declared, flicking his tongue towards Nala eagerly. "You will become one with my very being, free from the desssspair he wrought you with." The unchanging goofy grin on his kitten's face told him that the hypnosis worked, her state of bliss unchallenged by the implication of being eaten alive. "The resssst of your dayssss sssspent within mysssself ssssoundssss cozzzy, doessssn't it?"
Nala would've nodded yet if not for the coils but the idea of becoming a part of Kaa only fueled her bliss. She unblinkingly looked at Kaa as he began to widened his maw and displayed his gullet for her to see. Her heart raced in excitement at the sight of this while the cocoon of coils containing her lifted her off the branch. Before she knew it, Kaa brought his jaws down upon her happy face and engulfed her entire head. Soon he would make her a part of his essence.
Kaa found Nala's flavor to be rather smooth in texture for a meal so furry but hardly complained at all. He slowly unwrapped one coil at a time from around the lioness cub while his strong esophagus swallowed more and more of her. The rock python indulged in his prey's taste slowly while ing her shoulders and pinning her fore-arms to her chest. The last coil around his kitten's waist remained to keep her backside from pulling her out just as he reached her pudgy hips.
Kaa could hear Simba mumbling in his sleep but hardly feared the cub waking up. Nala's buttocks were slowly sliding into his maw despite their size and was beyond salvation. Though the rock python enjoyed imagining the horror in the ex-prince's eyes upon realizing his beloved had been reduced to snake food. How while he was dreaming about all the zebra meat he could eat, his best friend was being swallowed up like common prey because he pushed her far away.
Soon all that could be seen of Nala was that of her hind legs and tail slowing being gulped in by Kaa's throat. They were like noodle to the rock python when his gullet steadily sucked them in. The lioness cub's soft hind-paws were the last bit of her to feel the air before the snake shut his maw sharply and gave one final swallow stronger than ever. A bulge had grown in his throat containing the kitten before the esophagus pulled it through his innards towards the stomach.
"How cruel the Jungle truly issssss," Kaa pretended to lament, looking at the bulge carry Nala up toward his stomach up in the branches. "An adorable kitten with her life ahead of her reducccccced to nothing but nutrientsssss." He could feel her still shuffling around in his innards even when put under hypnosis. "Never harmed another in her life yet fate hassss dealt the cruelesssst of handssss." A malicious smirk spread across his face, snickering over his own cruelty.
"And all while her friend ssssslept it off no lessssss," Kaa monologued, moving his head towards the sleepy Simba. "I hope that you enjoy your ressssst, your highnesssssss." He slithered up to take in the ex-prince's rather adorable expression of slumber. "Come tomorrow, your wisssh will have come true." The rock python rose back up into the higher branches with plans to move out before morning. "You'll be sssssso happy, you'll be practically crying jusssssst like a baby."The long tube of flesh kept Nala tightly confined almost as much as Kaa's coils did and was just as comforting. Both of her fore-arms were pinned to her chest while both of her legs were pressed together while the saliva soaked her fur and slide her down the throat. She still wore that goofy grin and wide eyed look with colors pouring out of her pupils. The lioness cub would've been in tears and begging Simba to save her yet the spell she was under drove out such despair.
The tight quarters of Kaa's innards helped in providing a feeling of isolation and protection. Now Nala felt like nothing would hurt her while she was safely tucked away inside the rock python's body. Now she could just let the slimy tunnel carry her along while smiling all the way, indulging in a happiness that had been lost to her after Mufasa's death. Whatever awaited her on the other end could only be something good from Kaa. He would never do wrong by her. Right?
