Been messing around with these two new characters for fun stress relief lately. Just something self indulgent and fun.
Salvatore Enoch and his girlfriend Julia.
Enoch owns a shop of mainly cursed items and antiques he’s picked up over time and enjoys tricking terrible people into buying them. Or making awful deals with him. Julia is a morgue worker who was desperate to find the spark of something new and curious in her life. Strong desires tend to draw people to Enoch, usually they’re people with terrible ideas, but in Julia’s case it was innocent. After visiting his shop multiple times and chatting, he pushed her to ask for a request from him. That request ended up being a date that he could say no too if he wanted. Things went from there and Julia slowly found out more and more about the odd man.
Such as the fact he used to be an undertaker for a small town and is actually over a hundred years old. His family practiced healing magic and he was accused of various crimes he didn’t commit and hung for it. He came back to life with his body mainly made up of the worms and insects that were inside his corpse, and over time regained the ability to look human, by eating various things that tried to make a meal out of him.
Though he’s essentially a vengeful spirit, there’s still plenty of humanity to him and is overall kind to those that don’t plan to do harm. He speaks in a deep southern accent that leans towards Creole.
I plan on putting some colors on some of these and figuring out his monstrous form when he lets his skin peel back, but I’ve had some of these sketches sitting for weeks and wanted to get this all here before i forget.

thank you! i just have a deep soft spot for other wordly or monstrous stuff that just has a lot of pedestrian domestic romantic stuff. i just find it so enjoyable and cute, glad you like it!
YOU GOT THE RIGHT STUFF, its hard not to love that kind of combo.... i think the majority of my Weird characters fall into that every day life niche

saaame, even my characters that have a specific weird world they live will have domestic stuff. there's nothing more entertaining to me than extremely dire or strange stuff interlaced with just hanging out watching old vhs's or visiting shopping districts. downtime normalcy just can be so fun when it's with otherworldly stuff
