me with Shinies!

A concept I drew up for

Firr of a bartop arcade machine we plan to build. We settled on Bubble Bobble, Kangaroo and Rampage for inspiration. I love the look and design of 80s arcade machines.

A cute Baby Bobble game sounds fun to play. The arcade cabinet looks like a three games in a one similar to Capcom's "Three Wonders". I wonder if Nivlek has played that arcade game.

The oddest control I ever saw on an arcade was a "Roll Switch" which is like a radio switch that you turn and a button that you push. One such control existed in Capcom's "Forgotten Worlds".

It's a design concept. It would have been more work than needed. This is all about planning the artwork so it's easier to flip it over.

Makes me wonder what sort of arcade game uses six buttons. The only arcade cabinet I ever saw with six buttons was Athena's "Daioh".

Street fighter 2 and other fighting games use up to 6 buttons.

Fun fact: The fighting game "World Heroes" by ADK and SNK uses 3 buttons. The strength of the punching and kicking is determined by tapping or pressing the buttons for low and high respectively.

Awesome! I that Namco issued a few retrocade cabinets, featuring their usual line-up (the Pac-Man series, Galaxian, Galaga, Dig Dug, Mappy, and so on), and some cabinets contained some of Namco's forgotten titles such as King and Balloon, Tank Battalion, Warp and Warp, and Splatterhouse.
