Well this was long overdue as Mario Sunshine is currently one of my longest-running and (as of this posting) not-quite-completed Let's Plays, as well as one of my more popular ones. If it's casual, you're fine.
If it's 100%; good luck. I've never done it personally, because the Blue Coins and some of the missions are legit almost luck based. I've gotten all the mission based shines; but the Blue Coins are a pain in the ass to collect.
