Yeah, they say canned, condensed mink is just as good as fresh for all your mink needs but I don't believe them and don't think anyone ever has. There's times the difference isn't too bad, and yeah, there's great satisfaction in getting to schlorp the mink out with the can lines intact and all, but it's different and that's all there is to it.
Yeah I have no explanation for this. I guess I was feeling in an extruded-character mood and I was caught by the similarity in appearance between 'mink' and 'milk'. Nothing else justifies the topic and yet I like how it came out.
The grey washes here are all 'actually' black spots drawn onto layers set to various opacities. That seemed easier than trying to pick out eighteen different greys to use and keep straight. It's my basic trick for anytime I need a grey wash, although here adding a couple years together let me do things like the mink's eye mask or darker paws.
