Much like actually watching a movie, no?
This guy was actually first shown to us back on pages 699 and 700. Onlooking Gaiagal from the sidelines mysteriously. Returning on page 910 (211 pages later) genuinely made me go "WAIT I KNOW THAT GUY!" and excites me to see it wasn't just a "Oh no who is this guy that we will never say anything about because it's just a movie within a comic strip" incident.
Georgie also mentioned on page 704 that this movie is the "very first movie" and Aquarius said it was a prequel, so technically... this happened BEFORE he was first shown back on page 699? (unless I misread something) :O
Also... he stabs (and kills?) Gaiagal in page 702. (Pages 701, 702, and 703 for some reason are not in the Love Me Not folder and are labelled differently.)
We've also been in the movie(s) (other than random theater moments) since page 659. Getting close to 300 pages (which is almost a third of this comic)
I'm so, so, so happy that you're enjoying the arc so far, and I appreciatethat you've noticed some things that weren't so clear and needed some clarification, but I'll be more than happy to address them. (((^.^))) :cD
Yes, this man appeared a while ago, watching Gaiagal from afar, and I'm glad that he wasn't forgotten so easily... xcD and yes, he is an extremely important character in the movie arc, so please look forward to more!!
I apologize if this wasn't clear, but this movie's (Gaiagal and The Space Rose) time period takes place BEFORE the actual (in-universe) anime. You can see Georgie and Aquarius watching a snippet of the anime pretty early on in the comic, so don't worry! The movie is going straight-forward with no flashbacks. (c:
As for the most glaring piece of trivia... I'm well-aware that this arc is very, VERY long in of page count compared to any of the other arcs we've encountered so far. But I would like to mention that this arc is extremely taxing and a huge leap in of tone. It's an action-adventure anime, after all, and the fight scenes themselves span much longer than the slice-of-life style of real-life LoveMeNot due to the amount of information needed to be conveyed (and with every flip, every punch, and every bit of blood splattered, my hands cry out for mercy).
So that being said, I ask for some understanding and a bit more patience when it comes to finishing this arc... I hope you continue to enjoy the comic well after the movie is finished!!! (c:
I do want to point out that I am in no way at all demanding that you "get past this arc already" or anything like that, TAKE YOUR TIME. I love this content! XD Honestly I'm wanting to see both, Gaiagal and LoveMeNot, continue on. XD
