Within my lore, there are 4 domains for the gods: Creation, Void, Life, and Death. Miro finds himself among the pantheon of life, what many refer too as an "elder spirit" which are effectively their pantheon. Miro, Governor of dreams and nightmares, guides living souls through prophecy and comforting those he finds worthy within their slumber. The dreamscape is very much his realm and he meticulously guides all souls who find their way to their proper destinations. While he is sad to see them wake and leave him, he knows they will inevitably return should they come to slumber again. He is viewed as a benevolent and calm natured spirit, such as an old oracle or a wise-man who's nightmares usually serve to warn mortals of impending danger.
Additionally, if souls are deemed worthy for reincarnation their souls will stay in his realm until they can return to the mortal world.
