Flaps x3? I assume that means you can stretch your jumping distance out for 3 flaps?
Yup, basically it means how many mid-air jumps you get. Doing so also turns you back to normal.

That's a shame. Btw have you played Dragon Re:Action? It's the only other game that I can think of that uses the Wario Land style gameplay in a kinky yet effective way.
