A have a project I'm doing called "100 Days of Red" and basically,
I draw Red in mostly the same position for every picture, but do something
different with the backgrounds each time, depending on how I feel that day.

Sure, I have seen other characters smile, but I can feel the energy from the ones he gives. I have to wonder if you feel it too?
I would approach him, even though he is a vampire. He just feels so friendly.
The one on the left feels more in touch with joy. The shapes and colors give me that feel, along with his fangs being shown. It’s like he feels free to show off his existence as a vampire without worry.
The one on the right shows him a tiny bit more hidden, as if he’s been hurt just a little. The fairies make me think of Navi, so they kind of remind me of doubts being cast his way. Intruding thoughts telling him “hey, listen!,” but he won’t. It’s not clear if they are helpful or detrimental. They just keep speaking to him.
I did not expect to think that way about this piece of art, so I am very impressed.
