Commission for Bobbob2 and savage-six featuring their characters Razira and Wolfgirl, exploring a deep, dark, dank jungle ruins occupied by less than friendly inhabitants.
I was originally going to do a giant spider, but my arachnophobia kicked in too hard. I don't get nearly as bad of a reaction from scorpions, however, then again I rarely see them unless I'm exploring the Nevada desert at night.
Bobbob2 wanted something a bit different for the tail, creating a sort of hybrid between a scorpion and a worm. I think it turned out spectacularly grotesque.
While not canon for the lore of the scene or the characters involved, from an artists perspective I like to imagine that the scorpion is not really that bad. It just wants a friend. It's intelligent and misunderstood but has been trapped in this jungle ruin cursed with long life, unable to leave due to it's grotesque appearance causing others to run away in fear. Maybe it can be their buddy? It is but a silly thought I have,

Nobody ever thinks to look up. Well, these two are going to regret that very shortly, as that monstrous thing is about to drop down from above and cause all kinds of problems for them both.
Unless it really wants a hug, as suggested.
Either way, you did a fantastic job with this! I love how everything looks, that lighting is amazing, and the character detail is spot on. And on top of that, that monster is a nightmare combination of creatures and it looks like it's going to be quite the challenge for them to face!
Thank you again for this outstanding picture. So glad you opened back up for commissions!
It just seems like a nice, quiet temple of some sort. Why would they ever expect this crazy thing on the ceiling?
