"Someone's growing up fast!"
Fledgling Fred has his first white feather growing in! Not long and he'll look like all other bald eagles. :3
His mom wanted to show him how to handle large prey but Fred felt like this was a cool thing to bring up. And dad is watching from the nest.
Young humans get excited when their first beard hair grow, and young birds get excited when their adult plumage is coming through.
Been wanting to draw Fred as a youngster/juvenile, I think I got most of his plumage right.
Couldn't help it, this was on my mind for a week now.
