This is an index that will have a link to all Thirteen Tales for the year as well as the expected dates of stories to be posted. Stories are posted after sundown on their planned day. The culprits will be revealed on November 1st.

And now here are all the tales brought to you by Dr. Callyco and Dr. Cutie Pup for your reading pleasure.

All tales take place in the same cannon world with each other but are not in the same order as events occur.

You're only giving us the suspects' names and species? That's going to be of almost no help in matching them to their "crimes". At the very least, I'd expect a sentence or two of pertinent information about each suspect.

You'll get to meet each suspect one by one in their own stories to get to know them a bit better. As more stories get posted there will be details in them that might hint as to who is capable of what. And some of it out of character stuff of ok who likes doing things this way.

True, but that information's not exactly easily accessible-- and that's essential for a whodunnit. You're linking to the thirteen tales as you post them, but there's no way to tell at a glance which story is about who; the list of suspects doesn't correspond in any obvious way to the list of tales. Any "detective" who wanted information about a particular suspect would have to click on each tale and skim through the first few paragraphs, repeating until they found the name they were looking for.

Hold up-- you're revealing the answers the day after you publish the last tale? That seems like poor planning for a whodunnit. The readers should have time to try to figure things out for themselves.

Not really. Nothing is forcing you to look at the answers before you've had time to think on your own. That's kind of like saying a mystery book is bad for having the answer at the end of the book. For those who have made their guesses and are ready to compare them it'll be up, for those who want to spend more time they can simply not read the reveal entry until they're ready.

I don't think that's comparable... mystery books aren't usually released in parts over time.

...I fully intend to have my solution prepared before the answers are officially announced.

If that's what you want, more power to you. Not a valid reason for me to delay releasing the answers though.
